If you’ve ever stood at airport security clutching a banana and a bottle of Lucozade like you’re smuggling state secrets, you’re not alone. So here’s the 2025 lowdown on what you can and can’t bring onboard Ryanair, easyJet, Jet2 or TUI.

What’s allowed:

Cold snacks? All good — crisps, fruit, cereal bars, or a sandwich that’s somehow managed to be dry and soggy. Baby food and milk are allowed too, even in larger amounts — but be warned, security might make you taste it like you’re doing a Bushtucker Trial. Drinks? Only under 100ml or bought after security. That’s why you end up forking out more than the flight for a Coke the size of a lip balm. You’ll feel like Andre the Giant holding it — but the hole in your pocket ain’t worth it.

What’s not allowed:

Hot food or drinks? Forget it. Booze? You can bring it sealed, but open it mid-air and you could be fined. Ryanair once hit a lad with a €15,000 bill.

And thanks to Brexit, meat and dairy can’t be brought from the UK into the EU. Sorry, the ham sandwich stays home.
