Dublin’s Food Scene Will Never Be the Same After This

There’s a new market opening in Dublin that’s about to change the game—and to top it all off, it’s landing in one of the most historic spots in the city: Tallaght.

I’m old enough to remember The Square before Dundrum dipped its pedicured toes into the shopping centre pool. Back then, Tallaght was the only place to be—I got GTA San Andreas as a 7-year-old with intermission on DVD, launched bowling balls at the guard rails chasing a perfect game (penguin slide optional), and dined on cinema popcorn so buttery your heart was involuntarily doing the bleep test.

And now? It’s re-cementing its dominance, thanks to the Priory Market—Ireland’s first fully indoor food and beverage market, opening later this year. We’re talking twelve top-class food vendors, including Neapolitan pizza from a Naples-trained expert, Indian street food from Delhi2Dublin, handmade pasta, tacos, and live-fire grilling.

Oh—and Ireland’s first full-tank beer bar is in there too. You’ll get pints straight from the onsite brewery, plus wine bars and cocktail spots for good measure.

There’s also a theatre space for gigs, a roastery for coffee nerds, and loads more.

Tallaght’s back on the map. Priory Market is coming—and it’s giving you a well-deserved reason to leave the city centre.

No official opening date has been confirmed yet—but keep an eye on @priory_market for updates.
